I had the honor of reporting to Theresa for more than 14 years while working for GE Research. Theresa is the consummate professional - a true role model of a leader. Theresa is firm but fair - always operating with integrity and the right mix of supporting her personnel while delivering the best results for the company. Theresa is extremely well connected to federal and state leaders. She is insightful, principled, and courageous in dealing with clients, her superiors and her subordinates. Theresa and I worked together at GE from 2004 through 2018. She is among the best in the business in forming public private partnerships, with an emphasis on cutting edge R&D. Whenever I asked for her support on any issue or needed to connect with someone in her network, Theresa was someone I could count on. At the same time, her results in securing government funding for research at the GE Research Center have been phenomenal. Now, the course I teach at the University of Pennsylvania includes a segment on partnerships between private organizations and governments. Theresa was my first choice as a guest lecturer on that subject, and she has kindly shared her expertise with the class for several years. Her presentations and the discussions that follow are a highlight of the course for the students. I am looking forward to her presentation to the 2023 version of the course.
